Education QLDÂ introduces Sturt Street Community School in Adelaide City, for all your education and learning needs.
Attending a school in the city means there are many opportunities to attend cultural events, participate in community activities, enjoy the parklands and be a part of a very diverse community. In recent weeks our Choirs have brought joy as they performed at the Central Market and the Flinders Street Church.
Our students’ artwork depicting the Festive Season has been on view at the South West Community Centre and other themed art work is in the local post office. The SRC and senior students have worked with Jenson Planning and Design, consultants for the Adelaide City Council as they develop an Activity Hub and Playspace at Princess Elizabeth Playground. All these are authentic ways for our students to put their learning and skills into practice. Being part of a city school also means that our cohort of children changes as new families move to the city for work or study or our current families relocate to other suburbs and children attend their local school or families move back overseas. This week we welcome new students Illia, Joao and Ailos and sadly say farewell to:- Aiko, Althea, Celina, Charlie, Dionicia, Eli, Fotini, Isaac H, Jai R, Jessie, Laura C, Laura F, Meg, Poppy V and Sheba. We wish them every success in their new schools.
Welcome to Sturt Street Community School one of the popular educators in your Adelaide City area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
