Glass Street Kindergarten is situated on a leafy street, adjacent to a park in Kew East, Melbourne. We provide an interactive and positive learning environment for children in the two years before formal Primary school.
We seek to not only bring nature into the classroom but to also use the outdoors as the classroom-from the beautiful surrounds of our adjacent park, to the purpose designed outdoor spaces, including a vegetable garden, pebbled sensory area and amphitheatre. For some children, coming to kindergarten may be their first experience of venturing outside the family unit. As such the programs seek to provide a gentle transition for children from the home into a group setting. Our priority is to ensure that each child feels safe, secure and supported.
Glass Street Kindergarten is a community based kindergarten which actively encourages parental contribution and involvement. There are many social events throughout the year for parents and children to participate in. These social events foster friendships between children and their families, which often continue into their primary years.
