Education QLDÂ introduces Centre For Indigenous Studies Dubbo in Dubbo, for all your education and learning needs.
The Centre for Indigenous Studies (CIS) is a new Centre established in early 2007. The CIS is responsible for the delivery and governance of Indigenous education and research at Charles Sturt University (CSU).
The CIS is located in the Faculty of Education and housed at the Dubbo Campus of CSU. The establishment of CIS will move the University toward developing a hub of Indigenous Education at its Dubbo campus and enhance the interactive learning environment currently in focus at Dubbo.
With a high percentage of the Indigenous population in Western NSW dispersed throughout the Dubbo region, the location of the CIS in Dubbo is envisaged to be situated ideally to reach out to more Indigenous students in an attempt to increase the number of Indigenous students participating in higher education.
Welcome to Centre For Indigenous Studies Dubbo one of the popular educators in your Dubbo area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
