Education QLDÂ introduces Shenton College Deaf Education Centre in Shenton Park, for all your education and learning needs.
Shenton College Deaf Education Centre provides a quality educational environment for Deaf and hard of hearing students. Access to the curriculum is provided via Auslan and English. Learning programs are tailored to meet the educational needs and preferences of individual students and include academic and vocational pathways.
The use of information communication technology (ICT) is integral to all learning programs. Through partnership with Shenton College, students are able to access mainstream curriculum and extra curricular activities. The input of family and community is highly valued.
The Centre promotes values of equity and diversity across the school and within the school community. The Centre nurtures partnerships with the Deaf community as well as the wider community, enhancing opportunities for students develop socially, emotionally and academically.
