Atherton State High School's motto, "Alis Aquilae" (On an Eagle's Wings), sums up the opportunities for the students who attend Atherton High.
We have a strong tradition of helping students soar to take their place as active members of society. As an educational centre of excellence, Atherton SHS works with its community to ensure that all students obtain the outcomes and future they deserve.
Our school’s excellence is exemplified through our Service Commitment – all students graduating from Atherton SHS will:
- Obtain an OP and go to university
- Continue with further training (trade/TAFE etc)
- Enter full time employment; or
- Enter a negotiated field for students with special needs.
