Athelstone School Reception to Year 7 is located in the beautiful Adelaide foothills between the Linear Park to the north and Morialta/Black Hill Conservation Park to the south.
The core business of Athelstone School is to provide quality teaching and learning outcomes for all students. Programs are designed to enhance learning enabling individual students to achieve their highest potential in our rapidly changing society. The Department of Education and Child Development (DECD) and School Policies guide our actions.
Our Vision:
Staffs, with parents and students have developed a set of Virtues (Cooperation, Tolerance, Respect, Honesty, Personal Best) to underpin our agreed objectives. Class teachers, with students develop a behaviour code that reflects these Virtues, in place of traditional rules, thereby empowering students to take an active role and responsibility in their behaviour and classroom decision-making.
