Education QLDÂ introduces St Joseph's Primary School Dungog in Dungog, for all your education and learning needs.
St Joseph’s is a Parish Primary School, one of fifty such schools which come under the organizational umbrella of the Catholic Schools Office in Newcastle. These schools form a vital part of the Catholic Church’s mission within the Diocese of Maitland-Newcastle.
The current enrolment of 90 students is in four classes. The staff consists of the Principal, four full-time teachers, a part-time Teacher/Librarian, a part-time Library Assistant, a Literacy aide, part-time Secretary and cleaners.
St Joseph's has been fortunate to have had capital works money recently spent on 5 new classrooms, amenities block, refurbished library and administration block. Airconditioning and new computers formed part of this project. The children. teachers and parents are very lucky indeed.
Recent refurbishment of the library has developed it into a wonderful, modern learning environment which includes a computer lab and excellent Information Technology facilities for the children. Despite the school’s size, students have many opportunities for participating in Regional sporting activities, again with the support of many parents who constantly provide transport assistance.
The school has an inclusive Religious Education Program based on the traditions and ideals of our faith. Wherever possible the school participates in local community events such as the annual Anzac Day march, the Dungog Show, CWA and Dungog Nursing Home visitation.
Welcome to St Joseph's Primary School Dungog one of the popular educators in your Dungog area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
