Education QLDÂ introduces Riverside Girls High School in Gladesville, for all your education and learning needs.
Riverside Girls High was established in 1934. It is ten kilometres from the centre of the city and accessible by bus and ferry. The school's motto is FACTA NON VERBA (deeds not words). As a comprehensive high school for girls we cater for a wide range of abilities and interests. 60% of the students have a non English speaking background, with over 40 nationalities represented. At Riverside we encourage girls to become independent, responsible and successful learners. We emphasise the acquisition of literacy and technology skills and provide strong welfare support for girls and their families. We reward commitment, continuous improvement and excellence. Our student leadership programs have a social justice focus and emphasise tolerance of cultural diversity and the rights and responsibilities of effective citizenship. Riverside provides relevant and appropriate academic, social, sporting, cultural and student leadership programs to equip the girls with the knowledge, skills and values to meet the challenges of a modern culturally diverse and technological society. The senior school curriculum caters for girls who wish to pursue university studies and/or vocational education (VET). We encourage girls to take advantage of the Pathways options and study the HSC part time. Each year, more senior girls study at least one VET course for the HSC (Information Technology, Tourism, Retail or Hospitality). We offer four languages for the HSC, German, French, Spanish and Italian.Welcome to Riverside Girls High School one of the popular educators in your Gladesville area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
