Riverwood Public School is a small, multicultural school, catering for students from Preschool to Year 6. The school population is 81% non-English speaking background (NESB). The school is on the Priority Schools Funding Program (PSFP) which provides additional funding aimed at improving literacy and numeracy outcomes, along with communty participation. Whilst the school's programs place a very strong emphasis on the development of literacy and numeracy skills and student welfare, the school aims to provide meaningful all round experiences over all areas to develop students academically, physically, socially and emotionally. The school's programs and policies aim to suppport the school motto 'CARING AND SHARING'.
