Education QLDÂ introduces Westall Primary School in Clayton South, for all your education and learning needs.
Westall Primary School is situated on a nine hectare site shared with Westall Secondary College and Language Centre Annexe (post primary students only). The school is located in a residential and industrial area of Clayton. Currently there are around 242 students attending the school.
The school buildings include air-conditioning for all classrooms. Westall has a freestanding multi purpose hall, art room, integration building and canteen and community centre. The Library/Learning Technologies Centre houses 40 computers. Each classroom has at least four computers linked through the school network.
The school is strongly committed to the development of effective English language skills in speaking and listening, reading and writing. A trained Reading Recovery teacher is working with the students of Prep-2 with excellent results. Cross-age tutoring between senior and junior students is building both reading and social confidence in the school community.
The school also recognises the need for our students to have clear and highly developed mathematical skills and understandings. English and Mathematics are School Strategic Plan priorities.
Welcome to Westall Primary School one of the popular educators in your Clayton South area. Our aim is help you in your learning journey.
We endeavour to celebrate each other’s uniqueness by providing opportunity for all and to develop a culture that identifies that the journey towards excellence is often paved with trial and error, risk taking, learning from mistakes, flexibility and adaptability. We believe that encouraging students to take ownership of the learning is critical in achieving the best learning outcomes and that implicit in this concept is that students learn their own areas of strength and areas of development, through useful and explicit feedback.
