Newcastle Aikikai provides high-quality instruction in the martial arts of Aikido and Iaido, and the Zen Buddhist practice of Zazen meditation.Our dojo is a dedicated, full-time Aikido dojo in Newcastle, two hours north of Sydney. It is one of few full-time martial arts spaces in the Newcastle/Hunter region.We have an established overseas network in the United States, United Kingdom and Japan, and aim to practise in a progressive and mindful way.We welcome beginners and experienced students alike, from all styles and denominations.We encourage casual visitors as well as those martial artists who are keen to broaden their horizons and experience Aikido as passed down by Professor TK Chiba Shihan, one of the original uchideshi of Aikido’s founder, Morihei Ueshiba.
