St Clair PS opened in 1981 and is situated in a well established community and supports students and parents from diverse backgrounds. St Clair PS's mission statement states that "Our school strives to achieve a secure, caring environment which caters for the individual needs of children and encourages excellence". St Clair PS places emphasis on basic skills, the integration of students with disabilities and respect for all. A range of programs support students experiencing difficulties and students with special needs. The school provides students with the opportunity to develop their interests and abilities by providing programs for students to succeed at the highest level in academic, sporting, cultural and performing arts areas.
