Through prayer and other Catholic traditions, Bede Polding College rejoices in hope, celebrates the Eucharist and cares for those most in need. We are, as our College motto states, ‘called to bring peace’.
All our students have a right to feel safe. We have a strong emphasis on student safety reflected in a ‘hands-off’ policy implemented across the College. We understand that part of being safe means providing an environment where positive relationships between all members of our community are an expectation. We know we cannot feel safe where relationships are based on power and fear.
All our students have a right to learn. We aim to achieve educational goals based on each student’s individual ability. We work systematically and strategically to improve students’ literacy skills. We know that involving students in their learning helps them to improve their performance. Providing high quality feedback and information about student performance also helps them to develop as learners.
